There’s a story behind the name Torbreck. Before David Powell founded the winery in the Barossa Valley in 1994, he spent time working as a lumberjack in the Torbreck forest in Scotland. When it came time to name his new winery, Torbreck followed him to Australia, and Woodcutter’s Shiraz is a small nod to that chapter of his life.
